Artists Biography

I was born in 1961 in Scotland. I moved to London at the end of the eighties to study and loved it so much that I stayed for 15 years. However, the allure of the outdoor life was too much, and in 2002 I came home.

I now work from my studio at home in a pretty coastal village in Aberdeenshire.
My art reflects what inspires me.....from the ruggedly beautiful coastal scenery of the North east of Scotland, to the awe-inspiring and atmospheric sunrises, sunsets and Northern lights which I feel privileged to bear witness to.

I mainly work to commission - my work is becomeing increasingly popular with clients often returning for second, third and sometimes fourth paintings. I like to try to make commissioning a unique piece of art as easy as possible. Buying art can be intimidating at times - especially from some of the High Street Galleries - and I want to help change that. I derive a great deal of pleasure from knowing that something I have put my heart and soul into creating, finds a place in other people's hearts and lives.
